Little grasshoppers of different sizes hopped away when I tried to take their portraits.They seemed grateful that I didn’t pursue them. It was early in the morning and the light was dim. I felt grateful to get a couple of photos that weren’t blurred.

Flashback Wednesday, August 1, 2012 – I love the pinks and subtle oranges of this rose in my neighbors’ yard. I also love the shapes. Together they remind me of conch shells 🙂
Flashback Thursday, August 1, 2013 – This is my pick photo for today and it stars a bumblebee gathering nectar. What makes this so neat is that all those little droplets are nectar.
Friday, August 1, 2014 – I love seeing the dragonflies cruising down the street. Today I had one resting on mullein. I also have a pair of mating carder bees and a couple of bumblebees.
