Like every couple we’ve had mixed blessings through out the years and it takes work to make a coupleship and a marriage. I appreciate that we both have love in our hearts, work on gratitude, compassion, and kindness. Strive to forgive. Appreciate Grace, Mystery, and Beauty. Love our family, pets, friends, and the creatures in our yard (that star in most of my photos) and the world at large, while appreciating trees, fungi, soil organisms, water, air, and all that keeps us alive on mama Earth. Work on realizing mistakes are information and opportunities to learn and grow (great because we both make lots of mistakes). Love to play and create. Love lifelong learning. Desire to foster creativity in others when we have a chance and do other acts of Service.
Happy Anniversary, Hubby, may we enjoy many more years together and continue to be blessed with double celebrations (insert heart here)! Bright Snowy Blessings, Namaste, Namu Amida Butsu

“Hope is important because it can make the present moment less difficult to bear. If we believe that tomorrow will be better, we can bear a hardship today.”
~ Thich Nhat Hanh Flashback Wednesday, December 26, 2012 – This is my pick photo for today and it stars a heart of snow cradled in a hazel leaf 🙂 Flashback Thursday, December 26, 2013 – This is my pick photo of the day and it stars a chickadee. I love how you can see the attitude that these little birds have! Friday, December 26, 2014 – The first photo at the top, after the Thich Nhat Hanh quote, has a very odd perspective and I actually took it on the way to the doctor’s office while waiting at a stop light (I was a passenger). It is of the Oquirrh Mountains and clouds to the west of where I’m sitting. I love the oddity of it and how it looks like I’m flying in a plane. The bird is a seagull. The rest of the photos are of the holiday gifts I got from my husband and the beach dancer (peach colored) Christmas cactus is one of my favorites and the addition of a birthday gift certificate from the plant store helped with these purchases. I appreciate so much being able to see all the beauty that I am blessed with and the opportunity to share it with you 🙂 “I have come to accept the feeling of not knowing where I am going. And I have trained myself to love it. Because it is only when we are suspended in mid-air with no landing in sight, that we force our wings to unravel and alas begin our flight. And as we fly, we still may not know where we are going to. But the miracle is in the unfolding of the wings. You may not know where you’re going, but you know that so long as you spread your wings, the winds will carry you.”

“The heart that gives thanks is a happy one, for we cannot feel thankful and unhappy at the same time.
The more we say thanks, the more we find to be thankful for.
And the more we find to be thankful for, the happier we become.
We don’t give thanks because we’re happy.
We are happy because we give thanks.”
