Two Dragonflies and a Bee 11/8/14

“When composing a verse let there not be a hair’s breath separating your mind from what you write; composition of a poem must be done in an instant, like a woodcutter felling a huge tree or a swordsman leaping at a dangerous enemy.”
~ Matsuo Basho

November 8, 2013 sigSaturday, November 8, 2014 – Today is day 2 of the 5 day black and white photo challenge and the bee at the top of this post is my choice to transform into black and white.

My main subject today is the two dragonflies that were vying for territory in my front yard.  The one with the bent abdomen was able to run off the other, though they stayed fairly close together because my yard is a lovely insect buffet while the weather holds.
