Hummingbirds 8/20/14

Flashback Monday, August 20, 2012 – This is my pick photo for yesterday and it stars a milkweed seed. I love the pretty fluff that carry these on the breeze allowing the dispersal of the plants. Monarch butterfly caterpillars eat only milkweed and need it to survive. I’m hoping more people will see the beauty and cultivate these plants.

It is a shaft of light shining in a dark corner. Our ability to shift our perceptions and seek creative alternatives to the conondrums of modernity is in direct proportion to our empathy. Can we imagine, witness, and ultimately feel the suffering of another?”
