Flashback Sunday, August 18,  2013 – This is my pick photo of the day and it stars a female black widow spider that I almost put my hand on when I went to move aside some of this spearmint. She was very large and out of place in the mint. Normally black widows like dry, dark out of the way places. I’ve seen them in my basement, garage, in rocks, and lumber, but never in a place like well watered mint in full sun. Interesting…!
