Backyard Doves 3/3/14

Flashback Saturday, March 3, 2012 – This is my pick photo of the day for March 3rd and is a picture of my elderly kitty, Velvet. I wanted to have a picture of her today as my chosen photo because I changed my profile pic yesterday and it is a pretty good one of her taken a few years ago. I have found it very hard to photograph black cats and while this wasn’t the clearest it was the best of the attempts I made of her today.

Velvet used to be solid black but as she aged she first had one white whisker slowly followed by another, then another, and now they are all white. Velvet was literally rescued by the fire department from an apartment fire before we adopted her during a Petsmart super adoption event in my city.
