Flashback 2012 – I call this the “unlikely dandelion” because it is Thursday, January 12, and this dandelion looks more like summer.
Flashback 2013 – Since I don’t do any alterations of my photos for the “Walk In Beauty 2013” project, today’s pick photo is in two parts. This hawk is the star in today’s pick and here she/he is sitting and we will say this is pick photo part “A”. Saturday, January 12th
Today is Sunday, 2014, and I woke up to a light dusting of icy looking snow. It was warmer so where I was had melting snow and some icicles. Here is an icicle on a flowering quince at my friends’ home just as it drips.
The snow has completely melted off of these hens and chicks.
Storm clouds were still around with the possibility of some kind of precipitation and here you can see them with the Wasatch Mountains, along with the freshly snow dusted trees.
“Whether the eave-drops fall
Heard only in the trances of the blast,
Or if the secret ministry of frost
Shall hang them up in silent icicles,
Quietly shining to the quiet moon.”
~Samuel Taylor Coleridge
