Facebook Flashback 2012 – This is schlumbergera “beach dancer”. I love this twin presentation of the flowers. You can really see the pollen and textures. Very beautiful. I had a hard time picking today’s photo because I had some different ones that were all awesome. Hubby wanted me to pick the Christmas cactus with Ganesha. There were other potential winning subjects today, too. I’ll be posting the others in my extra album. Friday, January 6th
Facebook Flashback 2013 – This is my pick photo of the day and it stars a pair of seagulls, Utah’s state bird, at the pond in Liberty Park standing on ice. One looks like it’s missing whatever it dropped and the other looks a little dubious. Sunday, January 6th
Today, Monday, January 6, was cold and I had a small opportunity to get out and capture these images at lunch in the parking lot of my place of temporary employment.
The ornamental grass and trees have kept their beauty despite the variable weather. You can see little buds forming on the end of the tree twigs and the birds have eaten most of the fruit.
I saw some starlings and a magpie but didn’t get any clear photos. Maybe tomorrow there will be some birds.
